Islam - The World's Fastest Dying Religion - Aug 14

Found this awesome little video for you. Turns out the hyperbole about Islam being the fastest growing religion is a bunch of horse feathers. According to this video:

Africa

On a continent-wide basis, there are converts leaving Islam at a rate of:

667 per hour
16,000 a day and;
6 million annually

  • In 1902 there were only one million Catholics in the Dark Continent. In the year 2000, that number has jumped to 330 million.
  • Algeria has a growth rate of 10,000 new converts a year.
  • Morocco beats that with a growth rate of 45,000 new converts a year.
Elsewhere in the world
  • In Kyrgyzstan there are reports of tens of thousands embracing Christ.
  • Pakistan had a mere 80,000 Christians in 1947. In 2000 that number has now swelled to six million believers.
  • Bangladesh boasts of ten million new believers who have added their name to the Book of Life.
The Decline of Islam
  • Cambodia used to have 250,000 Muslims. They now have zero.
  • Russia used to have 24,321 mosques in 1927. That number has now dwindled down to 20.
My own personal observations
  • All these numbers of new converts are ten years out of date and represent a low-ball conservative estimate. The case of Kyrgyzstan is a prime example of where the true number of converts is unknown.
  • This doesn't even take into consideration the explosive growth of the church in China. When Christians not only get the attention of the the Communist Party of China but get them concerned and agitated you know something fantastic is happening.
  • Islam's time is running out. So is the Church Age - or the 'end of the age' as Jesus mentions in commanding His Great Commission (Mt 28: 16-20).
  • The new Leftists - those who wage the cultural jihad against the West and Judeo-Christian values - show themselves to be utterly bankrupt and on the wrong side of history. There will indeed be an 'end to history' but not the way the leftists envision.
  • God's prophetic word is 100% trustworthy.
  • The video mentions the explosion of new Catholics in Africa. The number of new converts created by Protestant churches and charismatics (Pentecostal) would also likely be a significant boost to the body of Christ.
  • Lastly, I concur with the videos conclusions. This process will advance human rights, nation-building and the rule of law over the cruel dictates of Islam. It will be a glorious victory for mankind.

Use a Torpedo Next Time! - Jun 6

Hello again readers. I'm still on my 'hiatus' but I've decided to break the silence surrounding the recent brouhaha over the 'Free Gaza' flotilla. This video explains it all. As for me, I have nothing but contempt for these 'activists' and all the brainless anti-Semites who crawl out from under their rocks whenever Israel has the audacity to protect its people and its sovereignty.

Dutch (Abomi) Nation - Feb 9

Pat Condell hits another one out of the park with his assessment of the Geert Wilders trial. As Pat says, authoritarianism mixed with cowardice will have deadly consequences. I fear that the forces of darkness are winning the cultural and spritual battle. The time of the church age is about to close. Will you be ready when Jesus comes?

Make Mine Freedom - Feb 4

Saw this recently on newsrealblog.com and decided to share it with you. The video was made in 1948 by Harding College during the height of the Cold War. The quality is a little iffy and the overall effect a bit hokey, sort of like the old projectors I saw in the 70's. However, the message is a timeless one for all people regardless of their political affiliation. Please do give it a viewing!

Thank You America, You Were the Beacon of Freedom in the World - Oct 20

On October 14th 2009, Lord Christopher Monckton, a noted climate change expert, gave a presentation at Bethel College in St. Paul, MN in which he issued a dire warning regarding the United Nations Climate Change Treaty which is scheduled to be signed in Copenhagen in December 2009.

Is Climate Change For Real? - Aug 15

I've always been a big fan of the Aussies. People of uncommon common sense, they see through the emotion and rhetoric and get down to the heart of the matter. Here Professor Bob Carter 'torpedoes' the global warming theory. Video runs 36:25.

Hypernova - "Fairy Tales" - Aug 5

Here's a classic rags to riches story coming from Iran of all places. The song is about a deeply flawed relationship with an under-aged female. The video has bare bones production look to it but I enjoyed it nevertheless. I hope you do too.

See Wall Street Journal video here.

After playing clandestinely in Iran, Hypernova is now being welcomed by U.S. audiences. Arriving in the U.S. with only $400 and a guitar, Hypernova, which was formed in Iran in 2000, was asked to play at the South by Southwest musical festival in Austin, Texas.

Israel, Iran and Obama - Jun 16

'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. I will turn you around, put hooks in your jaws and bring you out with your whole army—your horses, your horsemen fully armed, and a great horde with large and small shields, all of them brandishing their swords. Persia (Modern Iran - JC), Cush and Put will be with them, all with shields and helmets, also Gomer with all its troops, and Beth Togarmah from the far north with all its troops—the many nations with you.
(Ezekiel 38:3-6)

Something interesting has just happened in Iran. A massive presidential election has taken place with the incumbent Mahmoud Ahmadinejad being returned to office. Best to wait for the dust to settle before we can properly gauge what's really going on. Here's an interview with Dr. George Friedman (CEO of Stratfor) giving his assessment of the situation.

Warning Signs of an Apostate Church - May 31

Not all churches have gone by the wayside. Sadly, many have - both Catholic and Protestant alike. You can basically boil it down to three main points. First, sound Biblical doctrine is abandoned. Second, the false church will emphasize sensuality and our experience as a means to reach God. Lastly, the move towards ecumenism and a one-world religion. Watch this six-minute video and/or read the points below for yourself.

  • Scripture is no longer the golden standard.
  • The Gospel of Jesus Christ is being replaced by secular methods promoting church growth and a social gospel.
  • Little or no teaching on the Second Advent. An apostate church will rigorously deny the pre-tribulation rapture and the seven years of hell on earth (Daniel's 70th week) that must precede Jesus' triumphal return with his army of saints.
  • The idea of a literal millennial reign of Christ is similarly rejected.
  • Replacement Theology - The idea that the church has replaced Israel and that the Jews, Israel and the city of Jerusalem play no future role in Bible prophecy.
  • The Book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ is said to have been fulfilled (Preterism and the destruction of the Second Temple in 70 A.D.) or is to be considered allegorical.
  • An experiential and mystical form of Christianity is promoted.
  • Seeking present day relevance purely for the sake of relevance is a sure sign of apostasy.
  • The desire to go back in church history (called 'ancient-future' or 'vintage Christianity') to learn what experiences were effective in attracting new Christians.
  • Images and sensual experiences are promoted as keys to knowing God.
  • Experiences include icons, candles, incense, liturgy, labyrinths, prayer stations and an overemphasis on sacraments.
  • An emphasis on ecumenism pointing to unity with the Roman Catholic church.
  • Communion is considered more than a symbol and that Jesus becomes present in the wafer and the wine. Do we need to crucify Christ over and over again just so we can share communion? I think not!
  • An apostate church will buy into the PC lie that there are many ways to God. See John 14:6 for reference.
  • Those who question such activities are reprimanded and asked to leave. Elders are given short thrift.

This list is not meant to be exhaustive. I do however consider it to be an excellent guideline. Now if your church lights the occasional candle and doesn't preach about the coming tribulation as often as it should doesn't mean you're in an apostate church. No church is perfect! Consistent study of the Bible in private will remedy any theological shortcomings. If you do notice a significant number of the points mentioned above in your place of worship I'd get out of there as quickly as possible. Why should Satan work hard when the likes of Rick Warren do his dirty work for him? Be vigilant and may you rest in the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Adolf Hitler - Apr 2

It is a fool who denies the existence and reality of evil as a supernatural source. The very name of the Hitler causes us to shudder. Yet how few of us know of the Nazi occult leanings within its echelons? The religious fervor the German people experienced when hearing Hitler's voice is not restricted to just the 20th century. The Anti-Christ to come will be like 'a hundred Hitlers' according to Pastor John MacArthur. Part two can be viewed here. A must see for all those who wish to understand.

A Time of Choosing - Feb 10

I've been thinking about Obama lately and his pork-laden 'stimulus package'. Let's be honest here: This is nothing more than payback for political favors. We can go the secular big government route or we can try something radically different: A true conservative movement with a Christian foundation. Here's eaglephin from YouTube on his opinion on America today:

It takes more than a pretty video and a bunch of celebrities singing to make a great president. It takes a person who understands where the true greatness of America lies.

Long before anyone ever heard of Barack Obama, Ronald Reagan challenged Americans to hope, to dream, to believe....

In themselves.

He brought change. He told us "yes we can". Except he also told us we didn't need government to do it. He inspired us with his words and his actions. He showed us that our individual liberty and creativity is what makes our country great not any government program.

Today, Americans are wowed by the empty oratory of politicians who promise nothing but failed socialism in disguise. Even the presumptive Republican nominee cloaks himself in the mantle of Reagan but has shown that he doesn't understand Reagan's philosophy.

Reagan was an idealist AND an ideologue. His policies were based in his rock solid conservative ideology. That doesn't mean he never compromised. But compromise is something different than standing on the same side of an issue with those who are supposed to be your political adversaries.

John McCain is no Ronald Reagan.

In Defense of Geert Wilders - Jan 26

The Englishman Pat Condell is at it again, offering his insight as to what's happening in the Netherlands - and by natural extension, the West. He's right of course, which is why we should all be listening. The PC scaredy-cats are rolling over on their backs in a disgusting display of dhimmitude. Please pray for Mr. Wilders and the Netherlands. Looks like they're going to need it!

From Disengagement to Operation Cast Lead - Jan 19

Defending Israel is not unlike putting a big red target on one's back. Some will continue to hate Israel (and her supporters) and the Jewish people no matter what. The rest of Israel's detractors are ignorant for the most part. Here at the X-Def I simply strive to shed light into dark corners.

IAF Destroys Grad Missile - Jan 15

There's something about the Jewish state that brings out the fanatics and ideologues. I noticed that YouTube has many videos of Operation Cast Lead and on each one the comment feature has been disabled. Good thing too! Why give the loonies and anti-semites a soapbox for their anti-Israeli screed when you don't have to? The internationalist stance that every sovereign state is obliged to defend its territory and its civilians except Israel is an impossible double standard.

The End of America - Jan 8

A lot of Americans are enamored of Ron Paul (R-Texas) and I can see why. The GOP should've stood behind this man (or Mike Huckabee) instead of John McCain. Rep. Paul is a free market advocate and a straight-shooter, a rarity in Washington. He's the man that George W. Bush always wanted to be but never was. Highly unlikely that President-elect Obama will give Rep. Paul the time of day.
