Why It's Cool To Love Israel - Jun 30

Is it the end of June already? More to the point, 2007 is pretty much half-done. Anyways, got a good message for all you admirers of Israel. The pic below has Mt. Hermon in the background. Next to the red maple leaf of Canada and the distinctive Stars and Stripes, the Israeli flag is one of the most beautiful in its utter simplicity.

Yes, it isn't a capital crime (yet) to love the Holy Land and its people therein. But my love of Israel is not blind either. Israel produces more cool stuff in one month than any Islamic country could do in a decade (and that's being charitable). No, I don't believe that Muslims (or Arabs) are stupid. What I do believe is that Islam as a whole stifles productivity, creativity and the neccessary free and critical thinking that must be allowed if a society is to advance. I therefore do not wish Muslims ill, rather I wish that they wake up from their intellectual somnabulism and get down to the business of making the world a better place. From frontpagemag.com comes an article on all the positive contributions Israel has made to this world. You can view the full article here in its original context.

If You're Going to Boycott Israel, Do It Right
By Barry Shaw of The Daily Sport
December 28, 2006

OK. So I understand that you are ticked off at Israel, and in love with the Palestinians. That's fine with me, as long as you have truly weighed up all the facts. So, you want to boycott Israel? I'll be sorry to miss you, but if you are doing it - do it properly. Let me help you.

Make sure that you do not have tablets, drops, lotions, etc., made by Abic or Teva. It may mean that you will suffer from colds and flu this winter but, hey, that's a small price for you to pay in your campaign against Israel, isn't it?

While we are on the subject of your Israeli boycott, and the medical contributions to the world made by Israeli doctors and scientists, how about telling your pals to boycott the following: An Israeli company has developed a simple blood test that distinguishes between mild and more severe cases of Multiple Sclerosis. So, if you know anyone suffering from MS, tell them to ignore the Israeli patent that may, more accurately, diagnose their symptoms.

An Israeli-made device helps restore the use of paralysed hands. This device electrically stimulates the hand muscles, providing hope to millions of stroke sufferers and victims of spinal injuries. If you wish to remove this hope of a better quality of life to these people, go ahead and boycott Israel.

Young children with breathing problems will soon be sleeping more soundly, thanks to a new Israeli device called the Child Hood. This innovation replaces the inhalation mask with an improved drug delivery system that provides relief for child and parent. Please tell anxious mothers that they shouldn't use this device because of your passionate cause.

These are just a few examples of how people have benefitted medically from the Israeli know-how you wish to block. Boycotts often affect research. A new research center in Israel hopes to throw light on brain disorders such as depression and Alzheimer's disease. The Joseph Sangol Neuroscience Center in the Sheba Medical Center at Tel HaShomer Hospital aims to bring thousands of scientists and doctors to focus on brain research.

A researcher at Israel's Ben Gurion University has succeeded in creating human monoclonal antibodies which can neutralise the highly contageous smallpox virus without inducing the dangerous side effects of the exisiting vaccine.

Two Israelis received the 2004 Nobel Prize in Chemistry. Doctors Ciechanover and Hershko's research and discovery of one of the human cells most important cyclical processes will lead the way to DNA repair, control of newly produced proteins, and immune defense systems.

The Movement Disorder Surgery program at Israel's Hadassah Medical Center has successfully eliminated the physical manifestations of Parkinson's disease in a select group of patients with a deep brain stimulation technique.

For women who undergo hysterectomies each year for the treatment of uterine fibroids, the development in Israel of the ExAblate 2000 System is a welcome breakthrough, offering a non-invasive alternative to surgery.

Israel is developing a nose drop that will provide a five year flu vaccine. These are just a few of the projects that you can help stop with your Israeli boycott.

Most of Windows operating systems were developed by Microsoft-Israel. The Pentium NMX Chip technology was designed at Intel in Israel. Both the Pentium 4 microprocessor and the Centrium processor were entirely designed, developed, and produced in Israel. Voice mail technology was developed in Israel. The technology for the AOL Instant Messenger ICQ was developed in 1996 in Israel by four young Israeli whiz kids. Both Microsoft and Cisco built their only R.& D facilities outside the US in Israel. So, due to your complete boycott of anything Israeli, you now have poor health and no computer.

But your bad news does not end there. Get rid of your cellular phone! Cell phone technology was also developed in Israel by Motorola, which has its biggest development center in Israel. Most of the latest technology in your mobile phone was developed by Israeli scientists. Feeling unsettled? You should be. Part of your personal security rests with Israeli inventiveness, borne out of our urgent neccesity to protect and defend our lives from the terrorists you support. A phone can remotely activate a bomb, or be used for tactical communications by terrorists, bank robbers, or hostage-takers. It is vital that official security and law enforcement authorities have access to celluar jamming and detection solutions. Enter Israel's Netline Communications Technologies with their security expertise to help the fight against terror.

A joint, non-profit, venture between Israel and Maryland will result in a 5 day Business Development and Planning Conference next March. Selected Israeli companies will partner with Maryland firms to provide innovation to the US need for homeland security.

I also want you to know that Israel has the highest ratio of university degrees to the population in the world. Israel produces more scientific papers per capita - 109 per 10,000 - than any other nation. Israel has the highest number of start-up companies per rata. In absolute terms, the highest number, except the US. Israel has the highest ratio of patents filed. Israel has the highest concentration of hi-tech companies outside of Silicon Valley. Israel is ranked 2 in the world for venture capital funds, behind the USA.

Israel has more museums per capita. Israel has the second highest publication of new books per capita. Relative to population, Israel is the largest immigrant absorbing nation on earth. These immigrants come in search of democracy, religious freedom or expression, economic opportunity, and quality of life. Believe it or not, Israel is the only country in the world which had a net gain in the number of trees last year.

So, you can vilify and demonize the State of Israel. You can continue your silly boycott, if you wish. But I wish you would consider the consequences, and the truth. Think of the massive contribution that Israel is giving to the world, including the Palestinians - and to you - in science, medicine, communications, security. Pro rata for population Israel makes a greater contribution than any other nation on earth.

God is an awesome God is He not? Praise His holy name!

Gangster's Paradise - Jun 23

Can someone please explain to me any major differences between Fatah and Hamas? I like how Cox and Forkum describe the two: Six of one (and half a dozen of another).

Let me show you how our foreign aid is helping the Gazans. In this video, a small arms market is doing brisk business selling Russian and Chinese junk (plus some NATO stuff as well I presume) to the locals. Watch as kids nonchalantly pick up grenades and handle AK-47's (AK-47 = Automatic Kalishnikov 1947) like they were some kind of toy. Now we find out that all those U.S. weapons that were given to Fatah have fallen into the hands of Hamas! What kind of oversight is this? Is both Dubya and Olmert living in a fantasy world? Will the madness end?

If there is one good Bible truth I'd like to impart is that God is not impressed by some high position you once held here on earth. All he wants is for you to trust and believe in Him. Take a look at Jimmy Carter, former American president. In this world he holds a high position. When he speaks, people listen. What do you think is going to happen to Mr. Carter when he's judged by a holy God? God will not be mocked or be made to look like a fool. As I've said before, all hatred of the Jews comes directly from the fallen one. There will be no hater of the Jews or Israel in God's kingdom. Jimmy Carter is a hell-bound anti-Semite destined for destruction. His (one-term) presidency will account for nothing. What a shame.

Save me infidel!

Gazans trying to enter Israel and Egypt are finding out that neither state is opening the floodgates to let them in. Why should Israel and the West be footed with the damaged bill of goods that is Gaza? The irony in all this is as Muslims leave, the IDF are clamoring to get back in. Everytime Islam dominates, states (or mini-states) fail. That's the lesson we should be teaching ourselves. Not this PC-led moral equivalence that befuddles us!

And Another Thing Dep't: ABBAS IS NOT A MODERATE! I want to grind my teeth into dust everytime I hear the term 'moderate' applied to Ol' Mahmoud. From the Zionist Organization comes Mr. Abbas in his own words:

On recognizing Israel:” It is not required of Hamas, or of Fatah, or of the Popular Front to recognize Israel” (Al-Arabiya [Dubai] and PA TV, October 3, 2006).

Fighting Israel: “We have a legitimate right to direct our guns against Israeli occupation ... Our rifles, all our rifles are aimed at The Occupation” ( Jerusalem Post, January 11, 2007; Independent Media & Review Analysis, January 12, 2007).

On Jews: “The sons of Israel are corrupting humanity on earth” ( World Net Daily, January 11, 2007).

Here's some of his dubious deeds he's accomplished:

Holocaust denial: He wrote a PhD thesis and published a book denying the Holocaust.

Terrorist group Fatah: He co-founded with arch-terrorist Yasser Arafat the terrorist group Fatah, whose Constitution to this day calls for the destruction of Israel (Article 12) and the use of terrorism against Israelis as an indispensable part of the struggle to achieve that goal (Article 19).

Funding terrorism: as senior PLO official, he funded the Munich massacre of Israeli Olympic athletes in 1972.

You can read it all here.

I always love to end a post on a positive note. I'm a sucker for a happy ending I guess. From K-House, it is reported that the writings of Sir Isaac Newton are being displayed at Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Sir Isaac was not just a gifted physicist, he was also a man of deep faith who studied the Book of Daniel and Revelations. Faith and science are not mutually exclusive! Now there's something to celebrate!

I'm also very happy to report that the Holy Spirit is alive and well. From faith healings in India to a revived and growing church in Denmark, God is moving forward and claiming souls for the kingdom. Amen and Hallelujah!

God Will Not Be Mocked - Jun 18

Happy belated Father's Day to all you Dads out there. While I'm not one myself, I'm thankful for my own Dad who is an absolute gem. For some, this is also a time of sadness as they remember those fathers who have passed away or were physically or emotionally absent (and perhaps abusive) as they were growing up. There is indeed a Father in heaven who loves you so much that He sent His Son to die on the cross for your sins. May His peace fill your heart as we celebrate those brave men we call 'Dad'.

Isn't the above picture perfect in its irony? When Hamas stormed Arafat's compound they ransacked the place, taking his undeserved Noble Peace prize. Don't worry about Suha though. She's safely ensconced in a Parisian flat paid by our jizya taxes which a corrupt Arafat stole from under his own people. Pure poetic justice. From one master of terror to another, Hamas deserves all of Arafat's belongings.

Unless you've been stuck in a hole, Hamas has pushed 'moderate' Fatah out of the Gaza Strip. Mahmoud 'Lame Duck' Abbas responds by forming a Hamas-free cabinet to deal with the crisis. What crisis for Abbas would that be? To make sure us dummies/dhimmies here in the West keep the funds flowing into Fatah's coffers. No credibility? No problem! Never mind that Gazans are trying to flee en masse or that UNRWA's food supplies are running dangerously low. Just keep writing those wholly undeserved jizya cheques! I suppose that's why I'm in the poorhouse myself. I have too much dignity to lower myself to Abbas' standard.

Along with Hamas, another loony that continually pokes a stick in God's eye is Libya's Muammar Gaddafi. Here's exactly what I mean by God not being mocked. Even in closed and undemocratic societies, the people still have some say as to who will rule over them. So when foolish leaders are chosen who do not acknowledge God, the people always suffer. When we say to Him, 'God, we don't need your guidance or help. We can do it all by ourselves', we guarantee failure. By choosing this path of arrogance and self-sufficiency we are, in effect, mocking God. Nothing good can come of it. I read with great humor (and even more irony) that Libya is likely to be chosen to lead the UN anti-racism committee. In other words, more anti-American and anti-Semitic vitriol is sure to follow. It's a complete farce and the godless utopians who run the United Nations are getting exactly what they deserve. Mock God and He will chastise you. It's a mug's game, and one that Man cannot win.

Along with ungodly governments, ungodly armies (be they regular or irregular) can have a profound impact on the psyche of a nation. In Kabul, a bus filled with police officers and recruits gets bombed, killing 35 and wounding 52. Sounds like an inside job to me. What do the Taliban have to offer the Afghans? Nothing. Only death and seventh century backwardness. It's the same deal with Hizbollah and the unwilling hosts of Lebanon. Rocket attacks on Israel's northern border cast a troubling shadow. Yet Hizbollah thinks nothing of it. Their hatred of Jews supersedes all other objectives, collateral damage notwithstanding. In Ethiopia, gov't troops (funded, armed and trained by the West), gang rape and kill civilians indiscriminately as they battle rebels in the Horn of Africa. Only women bleed, as shock-rocker (and Christian) Alice Cooper used to say. How tragic and true.

I think our problem here in the West is that we've forgotten who we are and where we've come from. True freedom is found in Christ alone, not in mere religion or by gov't (mis)rule. People are waking up to the genuine threat that Islam poses to a free society. Not just that, they're also evaluating their own faith and finding themselves falling short. So if all this trouble leads to a much-needed global revival then so be it. It is often when things are at their darkest does the light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ shine the brightest.

The Lord of War - Jun 16

Read about the fallen one in Ezekiel 28:12-19:

You were the model of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.

You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone adorned you: ruby, topaz and emerald, chrysolite, onyx and jasper, sapphire, turquoise and beryl. Your settings and mountings were made of gold; on the day you were created they were prepared.

You were anointed as a guardian cherub, for so I ordained you. You were on the holy mount of God; you walked among the fiery stones.

You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created till wickedness was found in you.

Through your widespread trade you were filled with violence, and you sinned. So I drove you in disgrace from the mount of God, and I expelled you, O guardian cherub, from among the fiery stones.

Your heart became proud on account of your beauty, and you corrupted your wisdom because of your splendor. So I threw you to the earth; I made a spectacle of you before kings.

By your many sins and dishonest trade you have desecrated your sanctuaries. So I made a fire come out from you, and it consumed you, and I reduced you to ashes on the ground in the sight of all who were watching.

All the nations who knew you are appalled at you; you have come to a horrible end and will be no more.

Is it any small wonder we are in so much trouble? Take a gander at this video from metacafe on terrorism and the media polluting young minds in the Middle East.

The Media Of Terrorism And Its Effects

Satan is a busy boy, isn't he? There's no doubt that all hatred of the Jews and Christians comes from the wicked one. From threatening missionaries with death in India, to stirring up jihadi activity in North Africa and in Lebanon (with thanks to Hezbollah), and the constant barrage of one-sided criticism that both Israel and America face every day it's a small miracle that God's work still gets accomplished. God is still sovereign and He's still in control.

Given their situation, shouldn't the Israelis be a dour, pessimistic lot? Yet amazingly, most Israelis are optimists! Amongst the Jews, 83% were happy and 71% of Israeli Arabs reported to be content. When you realize how many Israelis have a loving relationship with your Creator it shouldn't surprise us at all. Now consider the lot of the Palestinians and non-Israeli Arabs: Nothing but poverty and despair! When the light of Jesus Christ is pushed out, darkness and strife abound. So whether it be an individual or an entire nation, being dependent on Him is the surest path to happiness.

I haven't had a sports commentary here for awhile but two items of interest have caught my attention. With the Anaheim Ducks winning the Stanley Cup and the San Antonio Spurs capturing the NBA title (see above photo), it seems to me that there's a paradigm shift: If you want to win a championship, go west or go south.

The second item that caught my attention is the NHL floating the idea that the Nashville Predators may come north to Hamilton if new owner Jim Balsillie has his way. The NHL board of governers will have their say and will move a franchise only as a matter of last resort. Not to suggest that this idea is an impossibility, it isn't, it's just that I see many a Hamiltonian who put down a big chunk of money for possible season tickets slinking back to get their refund. I've seen this before: A well-placed rumor is circulated, everybody gets excited and then nothing happens. I sincerely hope the good people of Hamilton don't get screwed in this.

I've just done a big upgrade for today. In the sidebar you'll find seven (!) new links and two new headings. Good News Booklets has four very good end-time links. You can view them in html format or in pdf format using Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you're not into reading in a big way you can click on one of three of the Anti-Jihad Flash Videos from terrorismawarness.org. Naturally, you'll need flash to view the videos. Like D'uh!

The X-Def: Now Seen On Six Continents - Jun 10

I've just gotten a hit from some blessed soul in South Africa and two from South America. Along with my usual (and much appreciated) traffic from North America and Europe, I've also received hits from Australia, Riyadh (!), Pakistan, Korea and China. Damn you Antarctica! Seriously though, I am deeply humbled and delighted to report this wonderful news. Without lots of hard work and prayer none of this would've been possible. Praise God for He is most faithful!

I've reported on the plight of Assyrian Christians who have come under a great deal of persecution since the fall of Saddam in 2003. Pope Benedict XVI recently had an audience with President Bush and they talked about the sorry plight of ME Christians. Pray that God will use this persecution to lift up and shine His glorious light into an unreached part of the world.

If Islam Is So Wonderful, Why Is Everyone Leaving Dep't: As the infighting between Hamas and Fatah flares up again, young people are planning to leave. A fatwa has been issued telling the young Pals that they should stay and fight. Naturally this will have little or no effect on the Palestinian brain drain. For me, emigration patterns never lie. Nobody is trying to emigrate to Islamic countries and the desired country of destination is always one of Canada, America or Western Europe. People vote with their feet as to where they want to be. We ought to keep that in mind how special Western civilization is and stop our incessant navel-gazing.

There is no doubt in my mind that those who wish to delegitimize Israel are in fact brazen anti-Semites. The Jews have every right to call Israel home, and no amount of appeasement is going to change that. As this week is the 40th anniversary of the 1967 war which gave Israel a surprise victory (compliments of the Creator of the Universe), one of the reasons why Israel won was its rejection of defeatism. Jihadi Du Jour gives us a OT Bible lesson on what happens when God sends you the victory and you refuse it. Looking around today we hear the same sentiments, 'We can't win' and 'The enemy is too large and strong'. The corrupted wisdom of this world has always despised God's clear counsel. The Useless Nations (powerless against Iranian complicity in Iraq and Afghanistan) cannot deliver on its promise of peace to the Jews. Only God can give the peace that this world so desperately needs.

Lately it seems fashionable for celebrites to adopt an atheistic worldview. From Bill O'Reilly comes the quotes of some Hollywood stars:

George Clooney: "I don't believe in heaven or hell. I don't know if I believe in God."

Angelina Jolie: "There doesn't need to be a God for me."

Carrie Fisher: "I love the idea of God, but it's not stylistically in keeping with the way I function."

No Carrie, the idea of God is not stylish. Neither is it 'tolerant' or politically correct. May I make a confession here? I've always admired Mr. Clooney for his success with women. With that being said, I still wouldn't want to trade places with him. All the sexual conquests that George Clooney enjoyed here on Earth will not help him one bit when he comes face to face with Jesus Christ. Every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, as these Hollywood celebrities will eventually find out. No, if I had to change identities with someone it would be Mike Fisher of the Ottawa Senators. Not only is Mike popular with both men and women and enjoys a NHL salary, he's also a Christian. While Mike Fisher didn't complete his Stanley Cup dream (falling to the Anaheim Ducks in five), his entry into God's Kingdom will make any Stanley Cup championship pale by comparison.

Let's close with some techie stuff. I've often wondered when and where the next big terrorist attack will come from. I'm quite sure where it WON'T come from and that's hijacking planes. If I'm an aspiring jihadist, contaminating the food and water supplies is an idea. So is attacking the electrical grid or vital fuel lines as the recently foiled attacks on JFK airport proved. One option being actively persued by the jihadists is cyber-warfare, one that the Estonians just came under from the Russian gov't. While the Estonians responded well, a cyber-attack that's even minimally effective will have a disasterous effect on our economy. E-commerce and online banking is now a big part of our nation's economy. An attack on a Canadian bank would cause account holders to withdraw their assets and would collapse the Canadian banking system. Not a happy thought, but one we ought to keep in mind.

Lastly, I came across this link from LiveScience.com on the viability of wireless electricity. I think this is a long way off as there are too many bugs that need to be worked out. Still, it's an interesting possibility. Remember, you read it here first!

Marxism Redone - Jun 9

I've always had my sneaking suspicions about the enviromental movement. To be sure there are some gentle souls within who mean well. I just cannot shake this feeling that much of the green movement is profoundly anti-capitalist (not to mention 'soft' globalists at heart) and pro-Marxist in their orientation. Rather than claiming interest in clean air and water and having a sustainable global economy, the greens seem to be more ideologically driven in preventing Third World nations from reaching their full potential. In places like Eastern Europe and Africa, mortality rates are high (as is unemployment) and such essentials as running water and electricity is but a dream. I'm well aware that there is a cost involved in industrializing a nation. But the cost of NOT creating jobs using advanced technology is even greater. The mantra 'suffer and die quietly' is what the green movement is telling the world's poor. I think their short-sighted attitude stinks.

How To Think - Jun 6

The art of a good debate seems to be lost these days. Much of the amateurish techniques applied usually involves the mantra, 'No it's not! No it's not!' to the predictable assortment of personal attacks and false accusations. The proper way to refute an argument is to bring forth corroborative evidence gathered through careful research. It amazes me how few people are willing to argue a position based on these principles. Hearsay, innuendo, half-truths and out and out lies founded on ignorance and broad, sweeping assumptions are the basis for most arguments put forth by your average punter. When you choose Jesus as you Savior, God takes up residence in you. This 'resident' is none other than the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit not only allows you entrance into the Kingdom, it also leads you to all truth and prevents error. Think of it as a divine BS detector. Now as wonderful as God's indwelling is, you still need to train your mind here on earth to guard against deception. From Rapture Ready comes a must-read article offering this critical thinkers checklist:

What do you mean by_______________?
How did you come to that conclusion?
Why do you believe that you are right?
What is the source of your information?
What assumption has led you to that conclusion?
What happens if you are wrong?
Can you give me two sources who disagree with you and explain why?
Why is this significant?
How do I know you are telling me the truth?
What is an alternate explanation for this phenomenon?

As you can see, this is a solid list of questions a discerning thinker must consistently ask themselves. There is no doubt in my mind that most of the majority-held opinions are indeed hopelessly in error. Yes, I know it's difficult to get a vise-like grip on the truth. It requires work and dedication to cut through all the bafflegab and nonsense. Jump to the head of the class and ask Jesus for your salvation today. You have nothing to lose but your foolishness and a new mind and an eternal life to gain. Please don't delay. Your peace of mind awaits.

What Price Freedom? - Jun 2

Well I'm only six days removed from Memorial Day so I wanted to pay tribute to our American friends who've taken the time to visit this site. I've noticed that most of my page views come from the U.S., followed by Canada and our good friends the Brits in third. The fact that these three countries are the ones supporting this blog doesn't surprise me. In free societies, the flow of information is seen as a form of checks and balances, a neccessary bulwark against tyranny. It costs to be free, a fact that few seem to be aware of.

Of great debate is the question 'From where do our freedoms come from?' Does our freedom come as a gift from God or is it ceded to us by our governments? The great presidents (Reagan being the most recent) knew in their hearts that freedom came from God. Franklin D. Roosevelt knew what was at stake when the D-Day invasion was launched. Dame Eliza Manningham-Buller, the director of MI5, knows the threats Britain faces from its fifth column jihadists. American troops in Iraq know the consequences of failure too. Fascism and crude tribalism (my tribe right or wrong) have always threatened human freedom. Remaining ready to fight is our only hope.

Vigilance is the price we must bear to be free. Yet how many watchmen are out there to warn us of our enemies? One of the primary reasons 9/11 happened was our unwillingness to take the jihadists at their word. We were asleep at the switch on that fateful day and close to six years later we're still asleep. Watching Western civilization self-destruct in slow motion makes for a fascinating study, one I don't want to see the conclusion of.

One of the biggest fronts in this war is being fought in Israel. It amazes me how people accept so uncritically the lies of the enemy and yet send themselves into a frenzy over God's truths. Witness the frenzy over the Abu Ghraib excesses, yet barely a peep is uttered over al-Qaida's torture methods. As I have stated before, there IS no rational reason for this. This delusion that has come into the world is a supernatural one. Think about it for a second: Why do seemingly rational people go ballistic when the subject of Israel (and the Jews) is brought up? All perspective flies right out the window. Satan hates Israel because it is precisely this tiny Jewish nation which stands in his path for world domination. All hatred for the Jews comes from the fallen one. Strip away the clever sophistry and the intellectual posturing and you will find the Devil behind every single Anti-Semite. Believe it!

Two more links and then we're done.

Russia has just tested a new ICBM, supposedly in response to American plans to put a missile shield in Eastern Europe. Understand that long-range missile tests happen all the time. It just seems a little bit more scary when it's the Russians pulling the trigger.

Corruption in China? You don't say! The locals are getting restless as corrupt party officials deny people their rights. China may talk a big game about democracy but the reality is much starker. Deprive any people the right to redress their grievences and anarchy and rioting will be the natural result.
