Revelation 9:16-19 - Sep 18
Here's a thought that occurred to me:
Revelation 9
16And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.
17And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone.
18By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths.
19For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt.
Check out these jpgs of the T-72 and the M1A1 Abrams tank and see if the above scripture matches up with the pictures. Breastplates of fire describes its armour. The heads represent the turrets. The main gun of a tank or 'mouth' would indeed issue fire and smoke and brimstone. The tails of serpents are likely the mounted machine-guns which definitely do hurt. The only problem is the number which is 200 million. The only way I see this literal number being fulfilled would be as if many of the tanks be unmanned robots being controlled by some central command.
It appears that Benedict XVI has at least one friend in Archbishop Christodoulos, the head of Orthodox Church of Greece. The Archbishop is coming out saying that Islam has made the lives of African Christians miserable (see Sudan). I believe this thing is only going to snowball, whether we want it to or not.
If you've noticed recently, most of the casualties coming out of Iraq and Afghanistan are Canadian. A Canadian soldier is six times more likely to become a casualty than an American soldier serving in Iraq. Why should our boys be reduced to cannon fodder for the Taliban? I'm not suggesting we cut and run, just that we should probably re-deploy where our help is wanted and needed.
Is it possible that Israel and the West will ever make peace with Islam? According to Moshe Sharon, the answer is a definite NO! Islam is a complete system that regards the birth of Israel as a historical mistake, one that should never have occurred. I'm guessing that they aren't too terribly fluent in Bible prophecy.
Some other odds and sods that have caught my interest:
The IMF is reoganizing, giving China greater powers.
Hurricane Helene is now a Category 3, making it a major storm. It is threatening to strike the island of Bermuda.
Satan appears to be shifting into high gear, as a gay parade has got the go-ahead in the city of Jerusalem.
That's all I got for today. It's a little tiresome reporting on the same thing day after day wrt the Pope and his speech so I decided to give it a bit of a rest.
